1.Why SnapRatios exists

Answer first, working underneath, labelled clearly.

Most ratio calculators either bury the answer under an explanation or give one number without saying what it means. SnapRatios puts the answer first, shows the working underneath, and labels which question each result answers.

2.Design philosophy

One engine, one vocabulary, one place to look for the answer.

Every page uses the same layout order: input, result, working, related tools. Numbers are set in tabular figures so digits line up, and each result states the units and the question it answers.

3.Exact before clever

Correct arithmetic outranks features.

One calculation engine serves every page, so a ratio simplified on one tool matches the split shown on another. Calculations run in your browser and the pages work without waiting on a server round trip.

4.How the project is maintained

Small, deliberate scope with corrections welcomed.

The tool set is kept small on purpose so that every page can be checked. Corrections and suggestions are welcome at snapratios@gmail.com.

5.What SnapRatios deliberately does not do

The boundaries are part of the design.

• No conversion between volume and weight, because that requires a density value a ratio does not contain.
• No guessing which convention an instruction uses; where two readings exist, both are shown.
• No accounts, no profiles and no collection of the numbers you type.
• No medical, chemical-safety, engineering or financial guidance.
